COVID-19 LORRY FARE AND SEATING CHANGES AT LORRY STATIONS

The once inconvenient seating in "trotros" and taxis in the upper east region has changed in compliance with the President's directive to observe social distancing to contain covid-19. This is obvious when one visits lorry stations across the region and in this case Bolgatanga lorry station. The once four-seater vehicles now take three per roll and taxis take two at the back and one in front but the fare in both cases has increased. For instance, a four-seater vehicle going to Navrongo from Bolga use to take 6 Ghana cedis but now takes 8 Ghana cedis and a taxi going the same journey use to take 8 Ghana cedis but now 10 Ghana cedis.Beware of these changes before you embarrass yourself at any lorry terminal in the region. Prepare well before embarking on your journey and if its not a pressing
need then stay at home.Covid-19 is REAL .Current figures in Ghana as at 1:00 am 21/05/2020 are 6069 cases, 31 dead and 1773 recoveries.
